The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition is making it’s way to DSiware and the Nintendo 3DS eShop tomorrow. Considering it’s free, it’s supports up to four players, it has new levels, and it’s Zelda, I’m pretty excited. Read Kotaku’s preview here to get your mouth watering (if it isn’t already!)

3DS Press Conference at 8:00 P.M. PT

September 12, 2011

Nintendo is holding a 3DS press conference at 8:00 P.M. Pacific time tonight. We already know that Nintendo will announce the clip-on circle pad accessory and Monster Hunter 3G, but will Nintendo announce any other big surprises? Well, we won’t know till 8, but we have heard rumors of a new Yoshi game and/or a new Warioware title. Let’s hope Nintendo can turn around some of the recent criticisms and negativity.

Nintendo Adds Clip-On Circle Pad to 3DS

September 8, 2011

Yeah, I don’t believe it either. I heard rumors about this awhile ago, but had just dismissed them because it was so absurd. Apparently, Nintendo thinks it’s a good idea to add another method of input to the 3DS. I don’t understand their reasoning, but whatever the case, it’s coming. The add on adds a second circle pad and a R2 shoulder button to your 3DS. The only known game supporting it thus far is Monster Hunter 3G (which Capcom has said that they currently had no plans of localizing it, which is just super). We will definitely be hearing more about it at Nintendo’s 3DS press conference on the 13th. I wonder what the future has in store for the 3DS (and Nintendo in general).

Full List of NES 3DS Ambassador Games Announced

August 30, 2011

Earlier today, Nintendo announced the 10 free NES games it will be giving free to 3DS Ambassadors (people who bought 3DS’s before the price drop on the 12th of August and registered with the eShop) on the first of September. Here is the epic, all-star list.

  • Super Mario Bros.
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Balloon Fight
  • Ice Climber
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Metroid
  • Open Tournament Golf
  • Wrecking Crew
  • Yoshi
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Here is instructions on how to download them (very strange way that doesn’t seem to be very well thought out) and here are the features of the ambassador program games
Also coming later this year to ambassadors are 10 free Gameboy Advance games. Starting September 1st, you can sign up for notifications about the ambassador program by clicking something on the Nintendo Video application (I know, weird and roundabout, right?) Here are the 5 known games.
  • Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Metroid Fusion
  • WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$
  • Mario vs. Donkey Kong
I am VERY happy I am an ambassador. This is going to be hours and hours of awesome game play. Some games, I’ve never played before, but always wanted to. So, thanks Nintendo!
